Introduction

Why do presentations evoke a strange fear in most of us? Having to speak in front of a group gives you cold feet, butterflies in the stomach and heartaches.

Most often we are more than willing to work, but prefer to stay in the background. Having  to project  oneself  and  speak up in front  of an audience gives us the jitters, and we  would  come up with a  thousand  excuses  to skirt the issue. The  fear  to speak  in front of  others stems  from  childhood fears of rejection  or anxiety of  failure which has been left  unattended. And then, all of a sudden your workplace demands you to speak or present in front of absolute strangers. You are now  on  public  display and  need to be  suitably armed  with  skills that will help  you  communicate  powerfully  creating an impact that can affect  your  company  positively. Content by itself will not suffice. How you deliver it is the key to powerful communication.
